Savage Nightbane
The Nightbane grew up as normal humans, until the fateful Dark Day when their alien natures were revealed. Most of them are teenagers and young adults who now have to deal with the fact that they are superhuman beings, blessed with great powers and yet cursed to become outcasts. And on top of that, they must face the true inhuman evil of the Nightlords and their minions.
Power Level: III (Rising Stars)
All characters start with the Super Powers Edge and Focus d4 for free. They begin with two-thirds of their power point total (30 points).

Deuces Wild
Whenever an Action Card is dealt and it is a 2 (any suit), substitute the effects of a joker. All allied wild cards receive a Benny and the character adds 2 to all Trait and damage rolls this round. Before dealing the next action cards, shuffle the deck.
It's Complicated
Any time a character is dealt an Action Card that is a joker, they suffer some kind of complication. They subtract 2 from all Trait rolls until their next action card is dealt.

Character Creation
Characters are created according to the standard Savage Worlds Adventure Edition rules, with the following notes:
- Each character begins with the Super Powers Edge and the Focus skill at d4 for free.
- You may take up to six points of Hindrances in any combination (see the Larger Than Life setting rule in the Savage Worlds Super Powers Companion).
- Powers are almost entirely built on the concept of being both magic and formed of shadow (Magic and Darkness Power Types) to reflect the Talents in the source material. The Morphus form is merely a trapping for these powers and the need to undergo a Transformation (Hindrance) in order to access them. Note: I'll provide some Nightbane talent examples using Savage Worlds Super Powers when you begin seeing Nightbane archetypes published on the site.
