Heroes 2055
The year is 2055 and Earth has changed. Some say for the better, others say that the world is nothing more than a playground for those with power. Heroes and tyrants, the rich and the poor, all struggle to survive in a future where nothing is certain, and anything can be bought… For the right price.
Welcome to the second of my projects. This is the Heroes Unlimited setting I plan to run my game in. This is a work-in-progress and, thus, far from finished. The information you find here will cover each of the major regions of the world, an overview of the technology, and the various organizations and factions (both good and evil) that exist.
This setting currently consists of a world overview of the various countries of the world (though I have yet to develop each on individually and determine how each interacts with the others), a few of the organizations and government agencies, and an overview of the technological advancements that have taken place. I would highly recommend using the weapons from Aliens Unlimited and Century Station as a basis for developing new weapons for use in your own games.
Please note that I have drawn inspiration for this setting from several places, including the Babylon 5, Sentinel, Stargate, and Dark Angel television series, as well as various science-fiction movies and the Fading Suns RPG.
If you have any suggestions, feel free to e-mail me (I'll be happy to give you full credit for the suggestion).
Savage Age of Shadow
The Savage Age of Shadow is a pet project to bring the world of Aryth and the Midnight campaign setting created by Fantasy Flight Games to the Savage Worlds games. The lands of Eredane have fallen to the orc hordes, minions of the Shadow in the North. The banished god, Izrador, having corrupted the very magic meant to imprison him has cut the world off from the other planes. Having failed in his first two attempts to take the world by force, he conquered it by corrupting men and sowing seeds of suspicion and mistrust. Now, his word is absolute and the orc warlords he commands brutally enforce his will. Magic and literacy is outlawed. Worship of other gods is punishable by death. The human lands of Eredane are conquered, dividing the dwarf clans in the east and the elven forest strongholds in the west. But men are resilient and a resistance is growing.
What follows is a (very) brief introduction to the setting and the basics of what players need in order to create characters in Midnight. For complete information on Aryth, the world of Midnight, you should pick up the Midnight 2nd Edition from DrivethruRPG.
Heroic Realm of Regnum
The Heroic Realm of Regnum was originally printed in The Library of Bletherad, but was only briefly described. While this, and the other realms described, will likely see their own book in one form or another in the future, this realm intrigued me and I started to write what I envisioned on the world.
While this may not be the same as what Palladium Books has envisioned, I like it. Unfortunately, like many of my projects, it is currently incomplete and will likely sit idle until I get the itch to work on it again.
Regnum is a world teeming with magical energy and the land is ruled by a dozen empires. While the world has seen peace for over 10,000 years, there are some who would disturb this peace. Such was the case with my recent Palladium Fantasy campaign (details coming soon)
At present, I have only the overviews of some of the various kingdoms, but I (eventually) plan to add additional material on the Realm and finish overviews of the four kingdoms not yet described. I've also got a map up and running.
