The style of these characters varies wildly from a quick paragraph and basic stat block to full-blown character sheet. The reason is that some are actual characters I've played (or planned to play and never got the opportunity) and others were NPCs that I used during the course of a campaign, but there was never any direct conflict so full stats weren't really necessary. I find it handy to have a bunch of names and basic backgrounds on hand during a session because, inevitably, a player will ask what the shop keeper looks like even when it's not really relevant. Far from a bad thing, but it's caught me off guard.

This is a character that I was never able to start playing, but was meant for a Phase World PBeM that never got off the ground. I seem to have hit a few of those.

Alexandra was raised by two of the most influential people in the New German Republic. As a result, she always had everything she needed and wanted. When Alex was old enough, she was shown the family business, smuggling. Alex was intrigued because it went against everything she had been taught in the schools, including the association with D-bees. Her parents sympathized with the D-bees and knew that the best way to earn a living was to work with everyone, and Alex was taught this from the beginning. She learned the trade quickly and her parents prosperity grew almost daily.

Johann was born into a prominent business family. Unfortunately, Johann yearned for knowledge, not the hobnobbing and kissing ass of the business world. When he was fifteen, he left home. He lived on the streets, gathering as many books and learning as much as he could. Eventually, the knowledge was not enough to keep him alive and he needed to start stealing to make a living and eat from day to day. It started small, picking pockets, occasionally robbing a small store.

Danielle was born a street urchin and has worked her way up from the bottom. She stole what money she could at first, hoarding it until she had enough to buy the equipment she would need. It took a few years and long criminal record, but she finally saved the money she needed and bought art equipment, and special forgery tools, as well as a computer to aid in her work.

Nicholas is Danielle and Johann's youngest son. He has continued the family lineage of psychic powers and is quite adept. He was born into a relative life of luxury and was brought into the family business as a negotiator. With his telepathic powers, he was quite good. Unfortunately, the life of adventure called to Nick and he longed to be out in the field with his older sister and brother. Danielle and Johann then assigned him to protect his sister and ensure that the family got the money that was due. He has served in this area ever since.
